There's a couple correct answers here....1) get into treats on the sly....2) eat chocolate!!! And yes, he did them both here =) The QUIET gave you away, little boy, it was just too quiet! He found some baking chocolate on the counter and somehow got one down and snuck off to eat it.
Same here, except, it was cake he got into!
{This picture cracks me up, every time I take a picture of him I must stoop over to get more on his level, well, he thinks this is the thing to do I guess ;-) }

Short but sweet!
Uncle David throwing James up and catching him. I took a bunch of pictures and always got this "pose". I could not manage 1 with him in the air!
Emily reading to Gramma Ruth and Grampa Rowe.
These were about the only pictures I got, but we had a fun day! A couple games, a nice walk in the woods, chasing escapee rabbits! It was great to have extra help for that ;-)

Pure James
He found the guitar. He loves to sit and play it. He must have his mud boots on at all times. If he can get to his cowboy hat, that must be on too =)

We make our own snow (flakes that is)
We found this fun experiment from Confessions of a Homeschooler's blog .
You mix borax + boiling water and then you WAIT. It teaches patience I guess =) The crystals are supposed to form on the snowflakes in about an hour. You should have seen the anxious kids, sitting and watching and waiting. When they got bored of that, rushing back from playing every few minutes to see if they could spot any crystals forming ;-) So, after an hour we still saw no crystals, much to their dismay. So we added more borax, and ended up letting the things sit there overnight. I'm not sure if we had old borax, or what we didn't do quite right.
This is what they ended up looking like! The kids thought the long-awaited for end result was pretty cool!
