halo hair
And this is what you get when you add 2 wild little girls bouncing around in a tent. It was actually more halo-ish than it looks here. Love it!

Waiting...waiting...
You may know already, if not, I'll fill ya in. It's been just these 2 peanuts all week long! Jacob & Emily got the privilege of going to TN with Grandpa & Grandma S. to see their cousins (and aunt & uncle ;-) These 2 peanuts have adjusted very well. At first there was a bit of moping on Miss Meri Jane's part, a bit more clinging on baby James' part, but then they settled into the new routine. Well, it has helped Meri that we can have Annie (G& G's dog) around. And, there's definitely more of mom to go around. And a few fun side trips....dollar/toy store, swimming with Larissa & Wyatt, and of course, treats =)
But, little do they know, in just a few more hours things will be back to "normal". I know the kids had an awesome time, but I wouldn't be a normal mom if I didn't miss them!

Books are fun
So, what are you going to plant this year???
James LOVES looking at books, magazines, catalogs, anything he can get his sticky little hands on!
Often I'll see him sitting in my chair with one of my books. Usually he'll carefully turn the pages, but once in a while he'll get a stubborn page and have to rip it ;-)

*he still likes his crawl better, it's faster, you know ;-)

Mr. Snowman was made and melted all in a day! Poor thing
It was that time of year again.
What...?! They're all looking, how did THAT happen anyhow???
**Like maybe MOST of the people in this area, we are ANXIOUS for spring. The snow and cold is getting old. This past weekend it happened to be snowing and even though I'd rather it didn't at least I can still see the beauty in the snow covering the trees and falling from the sky. And, we were talking about how thankful we are to live in a place that experiences 4 seasons and has change! (Just one season is a leeeetle too long). Anyhow.
**We've been busy cleaning out the loft (our storage area)! Feels GREAT to move things out. And I do mean "things". Too much is not good. We had things that hadn't seen the light of day for years. So, why are they here? It's great to get rid of those things. We still have plently of things (clothes) waiting for the kids to grow into. Some stuff you just need I guess.
**School is going good... I have 2 readers which is an amazing feeling! To see them reading and know that I was the one that taught them! Not to be "bragging" but as a homeschooling mom, at least for myself, there was a part of me wondering if I could actually teach them this....
**If you read this blog, leave me a comment....I'd love to hear from you =)
